《Balduvian War-Makers》(カード) #whisper 能力はともかくとして、パワー/タフネスがマナ・コストの割に低く、使いづらいクリーチャー。 一応ランページと速攻の2つの能力を持つため、ある意味無難なコストではある。 が、だからといってそれが妥当な強さかと言うと別問題。 特にランページは、複数のクリーチャーにブロックされて初めて意味のある能力なので、逆にいえば相手にこれを無事ブロックできるようなクリーチャーがいるなら、あまり役に立たない能力。 そしてこのマナ・コストなら、パワー/タフネスが4を越えるようなクリーチャーを相手が持っていてもおかしくないので、役に立ちづらいわけだ。 参考 カード個別評価:アイスエイジブロック Balduvian War-Makers(ストーリー) War-maker Brotherhood(武断派の戦士団)を構成する蛮族たち。 キイェルドーの戦い/The Battle of Kjeldorのバルデュヴィア/Balduvia軍でも目を引く集団。 この戦士団の構成員はほぼ裸に近い格好で、体に刺青を施し、白い息を吐きながら、雪の吹き溜まりを飛び跳ねながら通り抜ける。 いくら頑強なバルデュヴィア人といっても、彼ら以外は厚い毛皮で防寒しているので誤解無きように。 ケルトや北欧の伝承で語られる、裸に近い格好(もしくは全裸)で戦場を駆け巡る荒々しい戦士のイメージ。 参考 バルデュヴィア/Balduvia アライアンス The Eternal Ice(小説) 背景世界/ストーリー用語
